      Hi, Yep, the one taken form the DS that I am using atm was the original Western Digital AV drive (with a green label). As pvr's are going out of favour, it seems drive manufacturers are not developing specific drives for their use. Regards

      Thanks, I have "Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_CFW_3.13)" which I think is the latest. I assume I can format a new disk, put the problematic one back in an enclosure and copy across the recordings I want to keep. Regards

      Hi, Thanks for the info your info enabled me to raise the SD level with Audio set to "Multi-channel". My only excuse for not sorting it was that I use a "Harmony R/C" which does not have a button configured for volume!! Used the Humax R/C and sorted it in a few minutes. Thanks again
