The 4000/5000 were fanless too and I never had any overheating issue with my 4000.
I have had my Aura since release and it’s still going strong with no overheating issues so they must have got something right :D
As others have said, mine is also silent in standby and even when running the HDD is extremely quiet.
There is no fan in the Aura, so you do not have that to disturb the peace and quiet.
The only time I have had duplicate recordings is when setting schedules via the app, but I haven't seen that happen in a long time and I use the app quite a bit.
Yes, but I am not sure if the settings are saved after factory default as I have not tried it?
I agree that sometimes you could be importing your issue again using the backup, so that’s why I prefer the taking of photos of schedule and starting from scratch.
I am one of the lucky ones who rarely gets random reboots.
When I do get them its usually when Freeview start adding/removing channels, but then all I do is a Freeview reset and that sorts it.... until next time.
It does seem you either get a good Aura or you get a bad one, luckily I am seem...
That’s a shame.
I did a factory reset on my Aura yesterday as I like to do it around the six month mark, as like computers, a good reset keeps them running well. I have done this on all my Humax devices.
It only took about an hour and that was after adding all my apps, getting them signed in...
Possibly your guide took longer to populate and that's why it didn't find everything at first.
It would be good if there was some kind of progress of the import, but at least it does it.
Glad they are all there now.
A Freeview reset is the first thing to try as that does tend to solve the reboots (for a while at least).
If you export your settings and import them afterwards, you will not even loose your recording schedule.
Mine will tend to start doing reboots when Freeview have been shuffling some of...
I was using the lead that came with the Aura, plus another supposed 4K one.
It would seem one or both were not up to the job. I would like to think the Aura supplied lead would be capable considering they state the Aura is capable of playing 4K content which it obviously can, but maybe it...
Eureka it’s sorted!!
Two new 8K HDMI leads and everything works as it should.
Perfect smooth fluid picture and not a hint of screen flashing, in fact it switches way quicker than it did before.
Numerous YouTube videos I watch are in 4K
I changed the “Dynamic Refresh Rate” from Low to High last night and that makes the Aura correctly choose 24fps, but unfortunately it changes the resolution from 1080p of the source to 4K and that just sends it in a green screen/ black screen loop only...
No trouble playing 4K content so that’s that one ruled out, I’m just clutching at straws really.
Guess I will continue with pressing a couple of buttons to get what I need.
A bit of progress last night, not sure why it happened as any settings I changed, I changed back, but when viewing a programme on Plex the Aura flashed up with the correct resolution and frame rate (1080p 24 fps) rate and I thought great!!.
Unfortunately moments later it flicked back to 1080p...
I would have been quicker, but I was pulling my hair out trying to get he photos smaller :D
It's just so weird that the Aura will not automatically switch to that frame rate when it is clearly available in the options.
It was so much simpler with the old TV.... progress :disagree:
Apologies for the large images, I will try and get them smaller.... - EDIT - Sorted, thanks @Black Hole
Everything we watch is through the AURA including the Apps.
I understand the differences between fps and resolution, but I just included that as the AURA gives lots of options for each 🙂...
We recently switched from our beloved Samsung 55 inch LED TV to a new Samsung QE65QN90C Neo QLED HDR 4K which after a bit of tweaking we have got a fantastic picture.
My query is with automatic frames per second switching as it has me stumped.
We never use the TV's in-built tuner for...
Never had a captcha myself. The most I have had is a Qi code, but I just follow the Google link and enter the code show on screen.
Maybe as @MikeSh says your Google account needs to be activated.
