Can you rewind a Live Broadcast and Record from the Start of a show?
I confirm this is correct. It was a pleasant surprise when I did this for the first time as on the HDR you have to rewind it first.- Steppy

Is hard drive on the way out?
The box did boot up in the night as below - 512 07/08/2016 04:17:35 - System booted (Scheduled event). Is hard drive on the way out?
Ok, thanks for the replies. Am I correct that disable-ota physically stops the machine turning on in the night to check for updates? If that's correct then that kind of helps with the main problem of waking the other half in the night. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- Steppy

Is hard drive on the way out?
My HDR makes a click shortly after it boots up and when shutting down. I thought it may just be the head coming out and going into its park position, but sometimes it will start clicking quite a bit if I FFWD too much, not the normal head noise, but a distinct and quite loud clicking...- Steppy

FVP-4000T my 2 Cents
Well my box displayed a message about New Network Found - Now Later last night, so I chose Now and sure enough it did a full retune and my timers/favourites were lost. So I have no idea what it was doing last week, maybe it tried and failed and thats why my favoutites were kicked off, but...- Steppy

I also noticed now if you press the record button from within the guide it now gives you the choice of one time or series, instead of just setting one time record. That is just like the HDR-Fox T2 does (except via OK), so that is much better as it saves having to wait for the big clunky...- Steppy

Yes, maybe I didn't explain myself too well, agreed it moves up 1 channel at a time, but when you get to the top of the guide it will then move up a page as you say. Before, if I was on ITV, I would press the up arrow twice, 1st time puts BBc2 at the top, 2nd time puts BBC1 at the top, then I...- Steppy

I found another little annoyance that wasnt there previously. Before if you were on say ITV and went into the guide ITV would be at the top (as it is now), but you could then use the up arrow to move through the guide one channel at a time to be able to put BBC1 at the top so all the main...- Steppy

I too was pleased to see the new guide when I turned on last night. :) Its great they have got rid of the pointless initial Now/Next page and now jump straight to the main guide. The time boxes now only occupy the space of the programe and not jump over the next when its a short programme...- Steppy

I am amazed you havent mentioned my biggest gripe... performance. Its just so damn sluggish accessing and going through the menus. We also have an HDR-FOX T2 and its lightening fast going through menus, you are never sat there saying 'come on' when you want to look at your recording list and...- Steppy

4000T (Freeview) Network Connection Status.
I often used to have to re-enter my wireless key as it would forget its settings, but since the update it hasn't been an issue and now when I turn it on I now get the message on screen 'Network Connected' which I never used to see. Have you got the latest software v 1.01.1 ?- Steppy

Yes, I did my retune middle of last week I think it was, so before the Firmware update. I wasn't sure how to just retune a particular mix or which one I should do, so I just did a retune, which going by your test will still delete the recording schedule. Usually I will do a default settings...- Steppy

Looks like Humax have been doing a few tweaks to the FVP-4000. The changes seemed to have been done over night on Friday as I spotted them Saturday night. What I have spotted so far Guide is now more transparent so you can see whats going on behind. Guide population boxes for small items stay...- Steppy

Disappearing programmes...
A weird thing happened last week in that all my recorded programs disappeared from the library. The previous night I did quite a lot of deleting using the select option, doing several at the same time which left 3 recordings to view. FVP 4000T turning itself on at odd times.
My FVP 4000T 1TB replaced an HDR which is now in the bedroom so I cant compare directly, but I haven't experienced any issues like you describe.- Steppy
