     Yes, I've had a chance to reverse engineer some of the code now, and that is indeed the case, the hmt file has three synopses in it, the second one being correct, and as you say, the hmt command reports the first one. The media browser on the box itself gets the right answer, so it must do...

     Missed Recordings

     I recently learned (the hard way) that if you leave the box on a non-freesat channel it misses scheduled recordings. Could that be it?

     The remote works brilliantly if you rub the black coating off!

     Well I'm blowed! That's a brilliant improvement. Many thanks. (My fingernail wasn't strong enough so I used a sharp knife very carefully.)
