Thanks. So i gleaned from all of the above, sign in via FTP as user 'root' password 'root' and then double click the '..' on the remote site window which takes you up to the root folder with all the system folders in. Still no Humax in the windows explorer though, but I will try to copy the...
Also, I'm sure I used to be able to see the humax in my windows explorer network but no more it seems. What settings do I have to have enabled on the humax to see it in windows explorer?
Sorry for being thick. From a couple of your posts I believe you are saying the custom kernel for 1.0312/CFW3.03 should be OK with wifi. When you have said "WiFi doesn't work without the custom kernel" what do you mean exactly, that the wifi will not function at all, the system freezes, or...
Oh OK, thanks Montys - well 2TB will be double my existing 1TB. Bit confused on the wifi incompatibility issue. If the kernal means the base Humax firmware, then yes I am on 1.03.12 with the latest CF 3.03 over the top. However I have I think been on the 1.03.12 with an earlier firmware for...
Afternoon,
I have mentioned over on the Steps for Repairing a Disk thread I am having an ongoing problem with my T2 frreezing up when changing video preferences in the settings menu on the Humax. This seemed to be co-existent with bad sectors warnings on the Webif, but is certainly happening...
H Black Hole - this seems to be my wifi related problem:
"The problem remains of freezing when changing simple settings such as video mode (auto, letterbox etc) and other settings. When I take out the wifi dongle and reboot the problem resolves."
I have fixed the webif setting file but it has...
Update: Interesting, I have just clicked the settings icon in the webif and just get a blank white screen. I notice the path is to settings.jim. Is this related to the problem above?
update: I have switched the humax off and on again. It has rebooted into normal mode. When I go into Webif I no longer get the disk warnings. I suspect the disk may still be prblemattic but will monitor that.

Hello, been a while for me but I have finally gotten round to updating my CF today to 1.03.12.
For a long while now I have been having freeze up problems when attempting to change certain preferences, usually video preferences. Also, the webif has warned me about hard disk problems. So today i...
Been a while but good to see you folks very active still..will have to look at upgrading CF soon.
In the meantime I have been trying to deploy parental controls on my HDR T2, and whilst I can lock channels I find that this locks all prior recordings on that channel in my media list, and the...
Yes photo viewing mode. It's been a while but I'm sure it showed photo's adequately at some point in the past. Also I did have this problem before and am sure I fixed it but can't remember how !
Right, so I've read through this stuff a bit and I'm not sure this will achieve what I want. I have a QNAP NAS which has Twonky 6.0.30 running which is great at streaming to the Humax and I use it all the time. Only trouble is I have been experiencing the double re-boot issue or a long while...
Sorted it I think, just need to test on Humax when little fella has finished watching Ice Age 3....
According to WebIF I can now see the mount. It helped when I actually switched the overall NFS service on on the NAS...
For Kewal also may help if i explain my network path to you. If you have...
OK I managed to mount a windows directory. Set up a windows user account for Humax and used the username and password in the directory settings. Settings as follows:
I have also been trying to mount my NAS folder but without success. Can anyone guide? Actions taken so far;
NFS activated on...
Blimey folks, a whole new world on this thread which started over 12 months ago and I missed it...
Sorry if I am going back to basics a bit here but i have installed the automount package and am trying to initially mount a shared drive off my PC. I'd like then to move onto mounting a folder...
