OK point taken, what I have done is attenuated the signal from the mast amplifier into the box, and now the pixilation has gone, so perhaps the tuner was overwhelmed by the signal.
Once again thank you for helpful comments.
Thank you for the overwhelming response to my questions, and the numerous detailed explanations, you guys are so into this thing, I thank you very much for your enthusiasm if nothing else, this is a tremendous forum.
So having read all the information on the myhumax.org site regarding the T1010 it would appear the problem that stops the box in its tracks is the microprocessor, when I think about it, it does not surprise me at all as it runs very hot and the cooling afforded to it is very poorly designed as...
I will attach a photo of the motherboard of the T1010, the problem is one of HDD powering up, the Usb ports also fail to power up, the power points for both the usb and the HDD have 0.0v, so how are these points powered?
Thank you for the information, could you please say what reballing is?
Thank you yet again for explaining in simple precise language the state of affairs as regards to the Portal, I am now perfectly clear about it. I do love the FOX T2, and the custom firmware, it certainly records well and appears to be much more reliable than the T1000/1010 type.
Well, I have been able to install the new portal, and now launches very fast, however selecting BBC iPlayer still crashes the system, and YouTube selection launches but this too fails to proceed with failure messages, it does not crash the system as far as I can tell.
So what Am I doing wrong here.
I have a problem where when recording say BBC2 HD, and watching BBC2 SD, the later is pixilated, any ideas? Both signal and strength are 100% across the spectrum.
So by installing the package disable-ota, this prevents the OTA Humax update from being installed and thus overriding the CF, and the BBC Red button schedules a reminder, so this can be left as is, what do I do though when the BBC Red button message appears on the TV screen?.
So this BBC Red button channel, exactly what does it do, because when I turn the box on this morning there it was on the screen with instructions to press the red button to access BBC programmes, so in other words I am confused by this. Can I ignore this channel completely?
Thanks for the...
Hi, yes I have acquired a second hand T2 after my T1010 decided to throw in the towel, with the well known and still unsolved problem of not recovering from standby, don't even switch on just stay in perpetual standby.
Thanks for the detailed reply will investigate further..
So I am now very slowly starting to unravel the mysteries herein, but I wonder if I might ask a question or two please.
How does one run a package, in general, and in particular say for example how to run DetectAds?
Also, could someone please explain why there is an entry in my Schedule folder...
Here I am hoping to access the regular group of Apps using this portal, but it appears to be a non working set-up. So what can we get access to by way of Apps on the FOX T2, and how, is there anything that can be accessed via the CF or is that it?.
A question please, if I may, can we view the...
