Reallocated sectors
...of life left (i.e. its capacity to continue reallocating) is still at 100%. Not about the very small number of reallocated sectors, but at least some would think that your free space is a bit tight. Telnet doesn't depends on the hard disk. Are you sure you're using Telnet and not SSH with Putty? You need to get into maintenance mode, then when it's rebooted, telnet in and run fixdisk.- prpr

Unable to telnet into Foxsat HDR
...I've had a couple more errors than normal in transport streams over the last few weeks when processing with ffmpeg, so I thought I'd run fixdisk. What did fixdisk say? It's better than before as the readonly filesystem has gone away and it isn't complaining about libutil any more, but there are other problems. Those "Is a directory" errors are troublesome. I think I'd remove them with rm -r /mod/webif/html/settings/settings.jim and...- prpr

HDR-T2 with 500 Internal server error
...with my usual IP address and then 'MAINTENANCE'. This time I was able to telnet in on that address, so I entered the menu and selected fixdisk, which went through a number of checks, set up the swap space, and is now checking sda2 (my normal recording space). What does it show with uptime ? Do you have multiple connections to this machine from other devices? Were there any commands you ran in particular eg tmenu and what else? (Not sure why there is a umount there, and so many lsof.)- bottletop

...in the database browser? Anyway, the Sysmon charts show nothing untoward except a gap in the record from about 5.30am until reboot at about 3pm. The HDD Sysmon chart is a flat line for the last year. I'll get around to a fixdisk at some point (not right now). What do you think stomped on...- Black Hole

No EPG for BBC2 and some other channels on webif
The box froze and needed to be rebooted at 6pm when changing between Chase and Wheel of Fortune. I think I will run a fixdisk overnight to see if there are any disk errors lurking.- MymsMan

Newbie Fixdisk stuck in loop
Fixdisk hasn't broken it any more than any other writes to the disk. It sounds like it was almost at breaking point, which is why you got the errors in the first place. Fixdisk can't fix broken hardware.- prpr

Newbie Fixdisk stuck in loop
After a few attempts at running Fixdisk and 40 hours on the final attempt it has now stated it was unsuccessful - please see the attached. The Humax is now showing the hard disc to be empty (it ws nearly full) and wants me to reformat via the Data Storage menu. I would rather not lose what...- Tssoftware
