Hi Mods and forum people.
I wanted to ask permission to post a small advert as I am selling my hdr fox t2. I thought this would be a good place as I know whoever buys it from this customised firmware forum will really take care of it and my main goal is for it to find a good home! (I just don't...
This is information for those comfortable with linux and telneting into the humax box.
I've recently found an interesting script called tvnamer https://github.com/dbr/tvnamer
It's a good little script for tidying up your tv show downloads into readable and sorted into folders.

Thanks af123,
Is it possible to have the files display as new on the ontv browser or does this require native files? and by extension, is it possible to show the folder as being new.
Hi Guys,
Is it possible to programmatically set a file as new (and have it reflected in the directory structure)
Is it possible to add/edit metadata to a file (like the epg data often stored in a recording).
My thoughts are related to files transferred to the humax box (usually via...
I see why you say that however I can't seem to add any extra files to the cgi-bin folder to be accessed. For example if I duplicate browse.jim and call it custom2.jim I get the same error. Its baffling and very annoying!
af123, I am trying to emulate the db.jim dump script however I have a really silly issue when trying to curl the url:
Error 500: Internal Server Error
CGI program sent malformed HTTP headers: [Mongoose web server v.3.0 started on port(s) 80,443s with web root...
Just to wedge my oar in -
I investigated this a while ago, thinking of making an android client at some point, anyway here's some of the data I collected:
On the box there are 3 sql lite databases generated by af123's fantastic epg.exe
epg database /mnt/hd1/epg.db
channel database...
Thanks Ezra,
1/2. After reading about the packing and the compiling pages I think I'll try deluge as its python based and shouldnt need recompiling to run.
3. What is this called? I'd like to do some reading on it to understand how to add things to the init.d.
Hi Guys,
Can someone explain what I would need to do in order to use a different bit torrent client on the humax box? ( I'm thinking of using rTorrent. Its written in c++. If this is an issue I'll use deluge instead as its python based.)
Do I need to recompile rTorrent for the humax...
RS Auto does provide some functionality however I find it a bit restrictive. Its great if you know what you are looking for in terms of keywords such as James Bond.
The issue I have is its one channel or all channels. I'd like to create a selection of channels to include.
I'm struggling to...
I've been thinking alot recently about what missing from the RS portal and hummy epg. The web epg itself is an amazing accomplishment and as a programme guide I cant fault it. Other comments I have made in the past have been with the idea of fixing the EPG but I've realised its perfect. What I...
I had a look at some of the reservation code and realised that it would be quite an undertaking to port it out of Jim. I had an idea which is this:
I'll download the epg.db from the device.
filter and find the shows I want(using a process of positive and negative filters ie remove jerermy kyle...
You might know but as an external developer with no documentation to consult and no answer to my question I decided to reply so that others might know what I thought I had discovered. (Which turned out to be incorrect! ha!)
Thats interesting, I think I meant the epg.db thank you for clearing...
I have located the epg database and some tools for reading the epg.
the database is located at /mnt/hd1/epg.dat it looks like its sqlite which is good.
there is also a cli interface over telnet called epg. more here: http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Custom_Firmware_Package_Notes#EPG_.28Command_Line.29
Hi guys,
I like the web epg however its written in a language I just do not understand! Im more comfortable with php, html etc.
With this in mind I want to create a little interface to the humax which displays epg information in a filtered format of my own choosing. Is the epg info stored in...
Hi Af123,
Json is fine by me!
With the session cookie I should be able to figure something out.
I'll have a think about the sort of information I'd like from the site. What information would be easy to set up?
Hi Guys
I love the work you have done with the remote scheduling website.
Is there by any chance an api I can hook into? I'd like to build an android application to use instead of the website and so ideally I'd quite like some raw objects like an epg tree in xml or something.
kind regards...
