Just run a complete fixdisk which ended without error, so looking OK I think........apart from the high reallocated count!
Thanks for this, with a bit of luck it will carry on working for a while and I'll keep my eye out for new Humax devices.
I Also ran a "badblocks -s -b 512 /dev/sda", which ended with no errors:
humax# which badblocks
/sbin/badblocks
humax# badblocks -s -b 512 /dev/sda
Checking for bad blocks (read-only test): done
humax#
The bad blocks seem to have gone now:
Thanks for your help.
I've run the fixdisk with the -P option to skip the smart test, result below:

I think you're correct about the drive needing replacing, although I'm wondering about going for FVP-5000T instead, but I wanted to see if it would continue for a bit longer if I addressed the disk issues.
Hi,
My hard disk suffered a major failure recently, which caused all the recordings to disappear. I ran a fixdisk, which found and fixed a lot of errors during the short & long self tests, but then ended in error. When I now run it, it ends with the below error.
It has fixed the disk enough...
The re-muxing error in my first post seems to only affect certain mkv files, and I've found one that does not have the error so I can do a test with it (to prove a point :)).....
The mkv file is 2.2G, and did not play on the humax. I ran the ffmpeg command to convert it to an mp4 file (using...
It shouldn't be that bad when using the "-codec copy", it's not doing any decoding and encoding, it's just re-muxing it into a new container, in this case from MKV to MP4. It doesn't hit the CPU very much, it's mainly just copying it into a new file/container - I can see when running the...
No I don't, which is why I was just asking if there's any plan to update the version, I wasn't making any demands that it should be.
If the answer is no, it's no big deal, it was just a nice to have not a necessity.
Hi,
Just wondering if there's any plan to update FFmpeg to a more recent version in the near future.
I recently tried to convert an mkv file that I had downloaded onto my humax to mp4, using a command like this:
ffmpeg -i videofile.mkv -codec copy videofile.mp4
It failed with the error...
This is what I get:

Re-installed sysmon - no change
Forced re-install of webif - no change
fix-disk via maintenance mode - no change
I noticed that /mod/monitor/monitor.db didn't have a recent modified date, so I removed sysmon, deleted /mod/monitor & /mod/webif/plugin/sysmon to...
For some reason my sysmon has stopped working, it just shows "Loading.....Please wait...." permanently:

I'm currently running 1.03.12/2.23 and I'm thinking of going back to 1.02.32 to get the more responsive EPG back, would I be able to simply apply the 1.02.32/3.00 update, or do I need to do anything else in order to downgrade?
