Hi
I have a question about how to prevent the deletion of my scheduled recordings. I know that this happens whenever there is a software update. I also recall that I can stop these automatic updates by adding a scheduled event to occur for a few minutes every night. What I cannot recall is the...
That's quite likely - I didn't leave it in standby for long.
I've now done the telnet steps and selected fix disk.
I get a few "error reading block 262171" type messages.
At the moment the box seems to be working perfectly :-)
I'll do more tests throughout the day, but for now it's all good...
I've got the install done.
What I did was insert the USB then turn the Humax off at the mains (not just put into standby, as per the instructions).
When the install was complete I had to "remove the USB" then press the standby button.
I'll now continue to follow the instructions.
I believe so. I've got HDR_FOX_T2_upgrade.hdf, and it is in the root.
I noticed that if I look at menu->settings then on the menu installation is greyed out. I wonder if that's a related problem?
No problem.
Following you upgrade instructions, I've fallen at the first hurdle (maybe the second). I have successfully got the .hdf file onto a FAT32 USB stick. But when I plug it into the Humax box (in standby mode) and turn the box on, I am prompted to copy the files - rather than an...
Thanks I'll try this tomorrow.
Sounds like I might be able to fix my current HDR and send the new one (unopened) back to Amazon. Is that likely, or am I being overly optimistic?
I have an HDR-Fox T2. it's starting to fail (won't record) so I've bought a new one to replace it.
Is there an EASY way to copy all my existing recordings from my old box to the new one that I've just bought?
Thanks.
You are right that I keep it on all the time.
I've just started turning it off over night :-)
Another niggle I've noticed. When keeping the box on, any new recording appears with a generic icon in the recording list. But once I've turned the box off then on, the icon switches to a frame from...
Something that has puzzled me for a while. If I am watching a program then press pause, after a while the screen saver kicks in. This is the black background with the white digital clock on it. Sometimes this clock keeps ticking and keeps accurate time. Other times the clock time is frozen at...
Thanks.
Three (different) questions arising from reading the various posts.
1. Series link: If I see a program in the EPG that is due to start in 2 hours time, I hit record in the EPG and I'm offered the option to record the series. Great, nice and easy. However, if the program has already...
Thanks for the quick/helpful replies.
I have set a 4:20 reminder - it seemed the easiest solution.
Why do I keep it on all the time? I was just being cautious when I started using the Humax. If it's on, it'll record. Since then, I've stuck with it - "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
I use series link a lot. But twice now my HDR has lost all the links I've set up - nothing there when I check the schedule.
I keep my box turned on at all times.
Any ideas?
Thanks
