The front line NHS were very far from protected in 2020. Whereas You've been protected since birth. It's currently struggling to maintain the highest standards, just like the rest of society.
No you can't.
The hard drive is in there for data (ie recordings). You wouldn't be able to boot Ubuntu. Even if you could it would be the wrong Ubuntu for the hardware architecture. It's not a PC with a tuner included.
I'd be tempted to test with a direct ethernet connection between the 2 humaxes, or an old/borrowed router. If it works beyond the 8 minutes then it's a problem specific to your network
I'd like to be able to answer this. The hdr fox t2 with custom firmware comes close, but I couldn't call Ipayer cast iron and I certainly don't know if it will continue to work for the next 2-3 years. There's also no 40D Itvplayer etc.
I've recorded Detectorists series 3 successfully thus far. Buying a bbc dvd at standard definition, at less than the broadcast quality holds zero appeal.
I think it's more likely to be an issue with Dolphin file manager or PCLinuxOS than a file system error.

The techy stuff
• 4 HD (high definition) tuners – DVB (digital video broadcasting) – T2

• Dual-band WiFi (2.4/5 gigahertz)
• 1 gigabit per second ethernet
• Latest Broadcom processor (3000 DMIPS)
• Full home broadband TV...
I just did a puzzle, as it's easy to guess the website (in twice the the time 11:17). I got the same shape graph and a point on the x access approx twice as far along.
I have an ageing Synolog DS411J. This has always just worked. So put me down as someone who has done this sort of thing.
What I'm not acquainted with is troubleshooting DLNA. You might;
1. Install custom frmware. ( providing access to some diagnostic tools).
2. Telnet from the humax to the...
HYTIOATIOA?
Here's an anecdote. My webif EPG was missing the first 3 channels and started on C4 last night. I tried (in Firefox a couple of times). As I was in a hurry I recorded Screenwipe (BBC2 - not in the webif EPG) using the remote control EPG and the TV.
I left the PC/browser running...
Perhaps you're correct if it explains the plugin, I don't have too much experience of using the Humax as a media sever as I have better alternatives.
The Original Poster indicates he's using Custom Firmware and this is the Custom Firmware section. It's easy to make assumptions.
