Yes, if you boot without a network physically connected, the box does not crash. So users who have never plugged in the ethernet would never encounter the problem. That is my understanding.
Ok, so I feel a little stupid now.
I altered my network around on Monday but did not think to update the network settings on the Humax.
The gateway adress and dns adress were no longer pointing at my router, but to another router that was no longer the Internet gateway.
Now, as long as you...
The nas wasn't on the network. And I dont have twonky running.
Just tried with network completely removed.
Ch 47 crashed
So it ISN'T external network related.
More4 just crashed aswell
Def not an ip conflict problem, most of my devices I give fixed ip, the rest are dhcp in a completely different range.
I'll pull both synology's and report back. maybe try disabling media server on the one that's running it. ... actually yes, because it doesn't crash when plugged direct into...
Hi Trev, not sure why your guess would be no tho, that's just damn intriguing!
other items connected to the switch are:
synology NAS server
X-Box 360
Samsung TV
philips blue ray player
the Humax
ZyXEL PLA series power adaptor
I swear it has got something to do with lan. C4+1 crashes in 50secs
50secs
Initial Setup,
humax > switch > powerline > powerline > adsl router
Change setup,
humax > powerline > powerline > adsl router
No crash up to 5 mins
Back to initial setup,
humax > switch > powerline > powerline >...
Mine crashes quickly, like 50seconds on film4 and channel 4 +1
Web interface version: 1.0.16-4
Custom firmware version: 3.00 (build 2137)
Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_CFW_3.00)
Serial Number:
Stockland hill transmitter
Thought it might have something to do with homeplug or network...
Tell, when it happens, both remote and front controls lock up. including webif remote.
The DLNA server seems to have indexed some content now.
Hopefully will put this one to bed.
sorry, I misunderstood the reset process... I thought it was just a case of toggling,... have now just used the webiinterface button. Will report back.
Ok, but it 'crashes' at some point after toggling back to on. maybe there's a file that's causing it a particular problem. is there a log file that I can access? or a way to set one up?
Wo there! turned content sharing back on for the first time this morning since the reset, so that we could watch some recordings on the samsung tv upstairs.
Just came back to find it locked up (control wise) as previously described.
Last night did the Menu >> Settings >> Installation >> Factory Default (non wipe)
scheduled program's wouldn't restore, though reinstating them manually didn't take long
has been behaving since then. Maybe that's all it needed.
