A directory containing series recordings can be deleted in webif but not in rs. The following entry appears in the rs device logs ...
Directory '/dir_name' is not empty
After selecting Detect Adverts from the OPT+ menu of a single recording and choosing 'Run Analysis in background' / ASAP I get the following messages ...
11:41:07 - Queue starting
11:41:07 - arg list 0
11:41:07 - Unrecognized option: 0
11:41:07 - arg list
11:41:07 - Parameter errors found
This happened to my box on 2nd September when it was switched on, it's the first time I've seen this. Asked for language of subtitles, so obviously a factory reset! CF still there but lost all my scheduled recordings even though auto-schedule-restore is installed. Is there a way to restore...

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction . Yes it finds next Sunday's episode but that doesn't explain why tonight's episode wasn't detected last Monday.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the suggestions. The search finds a match ...
I know the email system works OK as I received notification of series scheduling of Marcella which starts tomorrow. I would be grateful for any more assistance.
This webif (1.4.2-8) image shows an incorrect conflict. RS also shows the conflict. I suspect the two Coronation Street entries are causing the problem as this is only one 1 hour programme in the epg so I don't know where the 30 minute programme at 20.30 has come from.
How about using Sweeper to achieve the aim of this thread, so what would be the correct syntax for manually adding a line in the Sweeper config file to do this:
if folder-name does not exist then action {queue {cmd mkdir folder-name && touch folder-name/.autodetectads}}
