They blot out yellow lines and other road markings, and obscure modern street furniture, but probably they don't 'see' things like TV aerials.
Spotting anachronisms like this has been a pet thing of mine for years. There was a recent TV series that that spanned the 70s to the current day and it...
When the Martin Shaw series 'Inspector George Gently' from 2017 was being publicised one of the articles mentioned how they had gone to great lengths to get all the props correct, giving the lighter in Shaw's pocket as an example even though it was never shown. The first episodes were set in the...
You are correct. Not the only mistake I made yesterday with figures...
Same here. I have no doubt these are new old stock left over from a production run.
Puzzlingly as of 12:10pm Tuesday the last one is still unsold.
[Edit] Just posted about this on another forum.
Last one is surprisingly still available 1pm Monday.
Second one arrived today and is currently being given a long format. It's one day younger than the first one: 18/8/24.
[Edit] D'oh! Make that 18/8/16.
Glad I spotted it.
First listed over two years ago with 125 and now down to the last one which will be gone today - I'm guessing a few more people bought after seeing my post.
Don't know where to post this so I've put it here.
New, sealed WD20EURX 2TB AV drives for £40.49 delivered or £37.25 using the TREAT8 code at the checkout. At the time of writing there are eight left:

I managed to trip over the leads of my ex-Sky box...
They changed things again yesterday so 'download as highest MP4' would download as 4K VP90 (3840x2160) with no sound and today there's a new YT-DLG that fixes it.
YT made some changes on Wednesday that broke YT-DLP which was updated to deal with it yesterday (Thursday). I presume other YT downloaders were affected too.
And today you can download 720p MP4 again and even higher, but not if you select MP4 and Highest as used to give a 720p download - that now gives a error.
[Edit] It was a glitch - it audio fine side but video blank. Didn't feel like checking the file properties
Advantage of being able to do a download in 720p MP4 (not 1020 as I mis-typed) was speed as no conversion was needed. Meant I could do YT downloads using an old HP laptop without having it run at 100% CPU for what seemed like hours. Even the main PC with an old I7 3770K takes minutes to...
Not a user - I use yt-dlp with the Tartube front end under Windows - but few days back I noticed the highest MP4 available from YT was dropped from 1024 to 360.
Possible, but it's still an "If you don't receive this letter please let me know".
It's not the only bit of nonsense associated with this. Having downloaded the LSB package you get this window:
I don't like doing this but it seems necessary.
I did a degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering, most of my income over the years has been from commercial electronic product design, employed then self-employed. I gained a reputation for finding and solving issues in existing...
