Don't know where to post this so I've put it here.

New, sealed WD20EURX 2TB AV drives for £40.49 delivered or £37.25 using the TREAT8 code at the checkout. At the time of writing there are eight left:

I managed to trip over the leads of my ex-Sky box caddy-mounted backup drive #2 while in use and its resulting drop was terminal.
Found this, ordered one and it's as described - brand new in the manufacturer's vacuum-sealed bag and packed to survive. Mine's dated 2016.
I've just ordered a second one.

Last one is surprisingly still available 1pm Monday.

Second one arrived today and is currently being given a long format. It's one day younger than the first one: 18/8/24.

[Edit] D'oh! Make that 18/8/16.

Your date above (one day younger) isn't consistent with your reported date of the first disk. Did you mean 18/8/16 ?

My disk arrived a couple of days ago.
It certainly looks new, pristine inside a sealed Western Digital sleeve.
The label shows date of manufacture 17 Aug 2016 , which seems about right given the type of disk.
I doubt that disks of this type are being manufactured nowadays.

You are correct. Not the only mistake I made yesterday with figures...

Same here. I have no doubt these are new old stock left over from a production run.

Puzzlingly as of 12:10pm Tuesday the last one is still unsold.

[Edit] Just posted about this on another forum.

About 30 years ago I was doing some deep diving into processor microcode while repairing a minicomputer CPU that used bit slice CPU chips. I then went to write a check and found myself writing the amount in hex figures ... :frantic:
I designed with bit-slice ALUs and microcoded hardware!
