Sorry just noticed that on the far right after the humax media info 2.0 each file has some odd characters, sometimes a rectangle, an arrow, an & sign etc. nothing readable.- chubtor

I transferred all the movie files that I had saved from my old Humax box to my 128Gb USB3 stick formatted in NTFS, this time I re-formatted the stick and transferred just the .ts files. I have given up on the idea of using an SSD, I have found that I have a 128Gb USB3 stick which is as big as my SSD drives that I have and in that way I don't have to worry about power etc.- chubtor

My final word, I promise. It seems that Windows will not let you format a USB drive (2 or 3) which is larger than 32Gb in anything other than exFAT or NTFS. However you can do this using other software so I have managed to format a 64Gb USB3 drive in FAT 32 and after some delay it is...- chubtor

Thank you for your comments, let me relate what I have found so far with the 1100S. A USB2 memory stick formatted to FAT32 is recognised and I can play movie files that are on the stick. I put a movie onto a USB3 memory stick formatted in NTFS and then in exFAT, (they are the only formats recognised by my PC for USB3Drives) and found that when trying to play it that it shows an incorrect format and cannot play. I have a Samsung so I have turned off Anynet+. and this seems to have done the trick but I need to wait to see if it does go into automatic standby at some stage - I have not set the power on/off timers so I hope it will not - and then I will report back.
