Whilst both (one recognised, one not) my usbsticks have FAT32 File System, looking at them under Easeus Partition, the 4GB has Partion Type FAT32X, whereas the 8GB has Partion Type FAT16, whatever that may mean. Is this significant and can it be changed if necessary?
I have problems too. A 4GB usbstick FAT 32 is recognised but a 8GB usbstickFAT32 is not recognised as either Fat32 or EXT3. Anybody using a usbstick of more than 4GB?
I'd like to use a Toshiba (USB powered) portable hard drive to back-up/transfer some recordings. This is formatted NTFS and looking at the disk under Windows 7, it can be reformatted to exFAT (no sign of FAT32) or default NTFS only. Will Easeus Partition enable me to reformat the disk to EXT3...
I have recorded the Olympics opening ceromony, but it's a big file, greater than 4 gb. Any there any options for copying this on to a Windows compatible medium?
OOps, I should have said Audio outputs on the back of the HDR (a novice despite my years - sorry). With the HDMI cable providing the sound to the TV , I have to slide the lip-sync along a little to bring the speech in line with the picture. Relying on the sound from the Stereo Unit (Connected...
Thanks for that
I'm not into Linux I'm afraid; can I buy an HDD already formatted EXT3, do you know?
What about option b) Can I plug a DVD drive into the USB and just record to a blank DVD, eg a HD 3 hour film, for example? Thanks
My Foxsat HDR is connected to the TV by HDMI. To improve the quality of the sound I have connected the two sound outlets of the DVI to my stereo unit, and listen to the sound via the Auxilary option on my stereo unit. It all works, except that the sound is ahead of the picture. Any...
Back to the original post in this thread, I have successfully copied a small recording (<4GB) from one HDR to another, using a USB memory key, but have found that the recording on the memory key cannot be played directly by plugging in to the USB ports on either of my TVs.
Now to look at...
Re: FOXSAT-HDR transferring recorded programmes - how?
Many thanks for your response Graham- these questions never have a simple answer, do they :)
So I can copy an SD recording to a USB memory stick (which must be formatted in FAT32 or earlier; how do they normally come?), provided that the...
FOXSAT-HDR transferring recorded programmes - how?
Can a programme recorded on my Foxsat HDR box (for example a film (2 hours ish) in HD or SD) be copied to a Memory Stick and:
1) loaded onto another Foxsat HDR box
2) given to a friend for him to watch the film on his TV?
Are there any...
