3Tb Drive??

Does anybody know if it is possible to put a 3Tb Drive into a HDR?

I've already gone up to 2Tb but I'm starting to run out of space, if not then i'll have to got for a external??

Hi Jon,
what model of 2TB drive did you put in your hdr?
Have you had any problems, did you get any information on what drive should be used?

Im interested in doing the same so would be glad of any advice.

I have to say, I used this thread

Very good and I went for the WD Drive listed in there as it was tested and worked. Looking back at it I wish I would have gone for the Samsung Spinpoint. Having used spinpoints before I think I would be quieter than the WD drive I went for. Very loud on spin up/spin down and write.
Then again it might just be the acoustics of the HDR as I previously used the spinpont in a media PC.

I know with PC's there are issues with 3Tb drives, I'm just wondering if these would be the same with a HDR or the HDR wouldn't mind if I used the same tricks as for the 2Tb?
