A reminder that TLC Channel Is Coming To Freeview on 13th Jan

More of the same a little bit of new and the resurrection of Mock the Week..........................
Unless the Mock the Week is vaguely similar to the most recent series it could well be :poop: .
The rest of the output means I'm as likely to watch TLC as I was to watch HGTV - not at all.

If true* that could be one programme I'll watch.

* There is a lot of AI generated, bot :poop: and lies on Facebook so it may be rubbish.

Edit: Story confirmed in Radio Times.

Confirmed by several newspapers and by royal appointment :)

I am quite partial to travel shows with comedians so I might give Zero Stars a look. I just finished watching a 6 part one with Bill Bailey in Vietnam that was quite good.

Bill Bailey
I missed the proms last year. Over Christmas there was a BBC Four classical highlights of the year and I saw BB playing a typewriter on Last night of the Proms - and later the Royal Albert Hall organ. Not seen him in a travel show. Is there anything BB isn't good at?

I think he may become the new Palin. It was not Bill's fist, he also did Perfect Pub walks with Bill Bailey and Bill Bailey's Australian adventure. I enjoyed both and both are still available on Channel 4 catch up along with several of his stand up shows. If the coffin dodging David Attenborough (100 in May) ever retires he might even get that gig as he is a known conservationist, bird watcher with a menagerie of pets and also did a series about baboons in South Africa some years ago. " Is there anything BB isn't good at? " Maybe not though I do not remember seeing him on bake off or other cooking shows but that may be down to there already being A Bill Bailey's US cooking brand so harder for him to monetise :).

The mistake was using a full typewriter rather than one with only two functional keys. I noticed a couple of jams. It was the Last Night so the bit of added humour was expected. He may also have missed the final cue from the conductor. Not as bad as Brian May missing his cue on Bohemian Rhapsody!

" BBC series Mock the Week, returning from Sunday 1 February with Dara Ó Briain back as host. WBD says the reboot will run as 9×60-minute episodes, produced by Angst, retaining familiar rounds while adding new elements for the longer format. Comedians named for the line-up include Rhys James, Sara Pascoe, Angela Barnes, Ed Byrne, Ahir Shah, Milton Jones, Katherine Ryan, Hugh Dennis, Sarah Keyworth, Lou Sanders, Glenn Moore, Ellie Taylor and Russell Howard, with more to be confirmed.

From April, TLC’s schedule is due to add Zero Stars, produced by CPL, featuring Roisin Conaty and Sara Pascoe travelling to destinations with the worst reviews."

What I've seen of TLC so far annoys me, in the same way other channels (including some 4 & 5 ones) do. On screen messages during one programme telling you about another one - usually at 9pm.

Bull :poop:. It's a commercial channel 40 minutes or less.
