IIRC we can bring up a WiFi link in half-awake (wireless-helper), but not Ethernet – so there will be no interaction with RS until the unit comes out of standby.

I have often wondered what recmon does.

It monitors recordings finishing (and other things) and kicks off the various auto processes and logging.

The log has not been updated since April this year and shows only 5 entries, all saying 'Terminated'

Likewise. I'm not sure whether this is a crash or something else. You might get more information by increasing its debug level, but I've never been sufficiently interested to try it.

Looking at the activity log on box I have noticed another inconsistency. I unscheduled 2 entries and the activity log shows 'Scheduled' instead of unscheduled:

seems to have thrown up another problem. I scheduled two series (Have I Got a Bit More News for You and New: The Brokenwood Mysteries). I changed the folder name for News for You and newk changed the folder name for Brokenwood. The activity log shows that each program has been Unscheduled as below:

You need to be more detailed about what you changed where and at what time. Also show the rs.log file with any relevant data.

Sorry for the tardy reply.
I went through the same process earlier today. I scheduled 2 recordings on RS. (both New: ). I then turned on the Humax. The two programs were scheduled correctly (with the folder named changed).
Again the activity log show 'scheduled' then 'unscheduled'.
Here is the extract from the RS log:

I started the Humax and the updated WebIf installed. I then turned off the Humax.
I then tested as follows:

Set a recording in RS (New: The Dog Academy)
Turned on the Humax and here is the RS log:

I then renamed the folder from The Dog Academy (newk had removed the New: ) to The Dog Academy (Test).

The Set folder name is still showing the original folder name rather than the updated name after both changes.
