AI Slop

Not sure if I'm missing the point here but simply putting " -ai" after your search term removes the AI slop. Well it does in Chrome anyway.
Admittedly, it would be nicer to just have an ai-off setting that you do once and forget.
Just tried that on the DuckDuckGo search engine and no slop.:thumbsup_:

On a side note - why AI slop? I see the term is being used by some Windows detractors, referring to Microslop. If the cap fits, I suppose.
Other Microsoft detractor 'gems': Micro$oft, Microshaft, Microsloth
There's more that I found when Googling - and the frickin' AI results came up... forgot the -AI or &udm=14. But then found a recent Firefox update has made Google the default search engine via the address bar, and you don't even see the address that it sends (address bar changed to search bar) 😖 . Now changing settings back to how I like them (again).
Need some funny derogatory names for Google to take the 'Edge' off 😬, but don't Google that! 🤣

Just what I wanted to see in my banking app. This message:
Try the Scam Checker
It uses AI to help identify scams
and give you more confidence when
making a payment
"More confidence" my ar$e. Less confidence.

So far as I can see, the general population are freakin' idiots who will believe anything, and even crap AI is better at spotting scams than they are.

You may have a point - but we (well some of us on here) aren't the general population. Luckily on the bank app it was an optional extra. Trouble is, the idiots are too thick to use it and the more aware don't want to use it. (Cue theme to tea-time programme hosted by A. Armstrong)
