Altering recording time of just one episode of a series

Why, normal series record should automatically adjust for any variation in episode length or start times

If you're avoiding a conflict you can use the visual tab on the schedule page and switch an episode to another showing or skip an episode and then you could schedule a manual timer recording.

Good options thank you. The thing is the episode does not get repeated. I'll try the manual thing

I usually find that at least one of the conflicting recordings has an alternative showing or is of insufficient interest.

No alternative for these. I could do the iplayer for one of them. How many episodes of a series is too far away for the skip an episode to work.?

Also you could adjust the length of the first episode in a series but not subsequent ones via remote guide/yellow button

No limit, (it used to be 5), provided it has been added to the EPG and the schedule for the series (8-days)
