Annoying Sound and Picture Breakup Since Upgrade

We have been getting annoying breakup of the sound and picture only since the last upgrade. This even happens when viewing 'On Demand' broadcasts.

What can I do to correct this?

PS Sorry. Thought this was due to upgrade but found that my HDMI switch was causing the problem. One of those annoying coincidences.
