Aura failing to record Channel 5 HD

Thanks trog, I'll keep an eye on mine to see how it behaves from now on.
Reuben Owen has started to record without issue. Did you see this Edit I made to my previous post? Do you see the same missing "R" for the Sunday episode?

"Edit I also did the same for tonight's Little disasters, series record appears to work and gives programme info in the schedule list and "upcoming episodes" shows the series record "R" for Sunday , Monday and Tuesday's episodes however choosing info whilst in the TV guide only shows the series record "R" for Monday and Tuesday with Sundays episode empty and jumping to Sundays entry in the guide also lacks the "R". "

Yes Reuben started recording tonight and I now have the r symbol for the future recordings for Reuben and Little Disasters.
Have you checked the TV guide on Sunday to see if there is an "R" showing on Little Disasters ? That one was missing for me even though it showed the "R" for that episode in the schedule info.

Yes trog the R is there for Sunday in the guide.
Cheers, when you think an Aura cannot get any more randomly weird it does. I will just have to see what happens on Sunday I guess and also see what my schedule says is the next episode after tonight's finishes recording.

The weirdness has an explanation that did not need Mulder and Scully to solve it. I just checked my Schedule and Little Disasters is listed as recording on Sunday but not on Ch5 HD, apparently I already had a load of things scheduled at that time so the clever Aura had without asking scheduled Sundays episode to be recorded an hour later on Ch5+1 hence no "R" showing in the TV info for Ch5 HD but still showing in the schedule info as recording on Sunday, foolish me did not spot the different channel logo on the small pic.

I have Rich House Poor house showing as set to record at 8pm Ch5 SD tonight in my Aura schedule list but whilst there pressing info comes up as no info available and then checking my Aura TV guide it shows no R symbol for the show so I expect it will be another failed recording.

I wonder if the "No information available" will be a reliable advance warning of a recording that will surely fail?
After having further Ch5 scheduled recordings show no info available in the schedule list then failing to record a few more times since my previous post I am convinced that it is a reliable indicator that the recording will fail and making an alternative booking should be done to avoid the loss.

Can I get this clear in my mind? Are you saying that you view the EPG, find the name of the programme you wish to record, highlight it, press OK and that page is lacking info about the programme? Have you got the Aura set to show the CRID values? (if not, goto settings, freeview play preferences, system information, then red green yellow blue blue, and select "DetailInfo crid show" and set to true). The info page should have crid values at the top of page. Are there any values there for the "going to fail" recordings?

If I've got that wrong, and you mean the info page accessed via recordings, schedule, (name of programme), OK has no programme info, then what about the crids?

I am referring to series record events that have been set up for Ch5 SD some of which are quite old and have previously worked without issue. Looking at my list of scheduled recordings show that the program is still scheduled to record but whilst still viewing the event in my schedule list if I press the info button and the event there says no info available then the recording will be destined to fail. If I then look in the EPG that show no longer has the "R" I set a series record for Piers Morgan on Ch5SD and Ch5 +1 and for 3 weeks the Ch5 SD has failed whilst the +1 has been fine. I checked on the day of the recording and it showed no info or "R" in the EPG however I just looked for the next recording of the show in 6 days and info and "R" are showing so I expect crid will be there. I will keep an eye on the event to see if things change then check for the crid if it does.

Edit. I see that I had already set up test series recordings for Rich house poor house on Ch5 SD & HD, The SD is showing info but not the HD.
That was a pain in the Butt the crid info was so far up the screen I could only see an unreadable bottom part of it and had to reset the TV.

Ch5 HD Crid Null Series Null RECO Null Event ID -1 TSID 16544
CH5 SD Crid crid://www.five.tv/v7ufto2 Series crid://www.five.tv/r10ir RECO null EventID 255 TSID 9208

Looking again at the Piers Morgan in 6 days on CH5 SD info shows........................

Those nulls (oh ffs the autocorrect changed THAT to bulls - just missing a hit (a/c bit!) to describe what I think of autocorrect)...
Let's try again. Those nulls on 5HD look problematical.

PIERS (SD) : same except RECO null, TSID 8200
Rich house(SD) : same except TSID 8200
(HD) : CRID ends v7ufto2, series ends 510Lr, RECO null, EVENTId 255, TSID 16518

Then I connected the Aura to the Internet. For Rich house (HD): [RECO: null] [crid://csi.digitaluk.co.uk/ {different number}], event 43835, TSID 16518. Crucially, there is no information about the episode on screen. I cannot set a record. (Possible it may not be the same episode as previous HD example.)

My questions now are - What is RECO? What is the CRID following (starting csi.digitaluk.co.uk)? Is this a deliberate code to stop the recording of HD?

Then later the HD seemed to show a proper page even when connected to the Internet. But, searching for the Rich House gave an HD as first image in previous post. The "Upcoming Episode" is the same episode and is like the second image. Recordable but didn't offer series. Confused? I certainly am.
