[auto-schedule-restore] Auto-restore schedule after retune

Yes, I've seen this too (HD). The restore needs to check for some other thing, such as there being some "tuned" channels, as well as there being no scheduled events. We should have thought of that ... though I haven't actually checked that, and imagine the unlikelihood of a test case.

My machine went through spontaneous Wizzard yesterday
I had an instance of this last week too (first time in years), but I know why, and then knew what was coming. Anyway, there was no reboot during re-tune, which was good.

Of course it did repeat today 😥, and auto schedule restore did work
Yet another Wizzard this morning and this time auto schedule restore did not work :dunno:
I needed to manually restore from the penultimate backup (last backup empty)

Yet another Wizzard this morning
Me too. I make that the 4th time this year on that particular HDR.
The frequency of these occurrences seems to be increasing (I can't recall even one in the 1st 8 years or so of its operation).
Is anything known about what is making these events more frequent?

My auto restore also failed, as did a manual attempt to restore last night's auto back-up. I could view it, and it looked fine to me, but the restore failed.
I was able to restore the previous night's backup, which looked identical.

Failed in what way - error messages or just empty on reboot?

Failed in what way
When the (manual) restore was attempted, the 1st entry in the schedule list appeared on the screen, although I think it was truncated. Then nothing.
No error message and the process ended, with nothing in the schedule list after reboot.

I'm guessing that the latest backup had been corrupted, although when viewed it did appear 'normal'.
Unfortunately I have deleted it so can't offer it for inspection. (sorry)

It seems too much of a coincidence that this coincided with the factory setup 'wizzard' being triggered.
