Can anyone help please..... this is my first and only Forum on anything .... and it is all a bit new to anon techi like me.
Before "trying" to reset my HUMAX HDR FOX T2 (about 22 months old), I wish/ need to back up stored programs to copy back later NOT to watch on a PC
Is this possible and how do I achieve this, please?
Background confusion:
1) I plugged in an external HDD and it seems to only allow me to copy files to the HUMAX HDD and I have no need / desire to do that;
2) An e-mail from the HUMAX support people mentioned that and external HDD used with the system needs to be formatted to FAT32. Not only do i not know what that is or how to do it but when i looked on line that seemed to not be a simple matter or reliable and I do not wish to reformat my external HDD'
3) This doesn't seem to make sense, as the HUMAX did seem to be willing to allow me to copy files from my external HDD to the HUMAX HDD
Reason for all this AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGNNNNNEEEEESSSSSS is that I am unable to record anything (plenty of space) and the systems keeps showing deleting (non-stop) even though nothing is being deleted and it doesn't change when i do watch and delete files.
The next stage will be that I apparently will need to downgrade the software and then upgrade it and that sounds like a while new headache. The HUMAX e-mail mentioned FAT32 ahain and memeory keys and laptops. EVERYTHING IS IN ANCIENT MARSIAN
Am I a plonker or is this not for the faint hearted?
HELP PLS
