Cannot use https to access maintenance or safe mode

As above - am using https in a bookmark to access WebIf but, after booting into maintenance mode and using the bookmark, get 'unable to connect'. Using http or just the ip address works fine.
Not particularly a problem now that I am aware of this but may be useful info down the line for someone.

As you've discovered, the web server that runs in maintenance mode is a tiny one with minimal features so it does not support https. It's the same one that runs in safe mode and for the initial setup routing. Hopefully your post will come up for future searches, thanks : )

Thanks af123 - I have amended the thread title to include safe mode.
Probably not a lot of mileage using https anyway as it is on the local network.
