[CFW 3.14] Customised Firmware v3.14 released.

Custom Firmware 3.14 is now released.

This is only for Humax firmware versions 1.03.12 on the HDR and 1.03.02 on the HD.

The easiest way to install it is by installing the update package, either custom-firmware-hdr or custom-firmware-hd as appropriate.
If using the WebIf, you'll need to enable display of "Advanced Packages" for these to show in the list.
For those who prefer the old fashioned USB stick method, the links are on the Wiki on the Firmware Downloads page.

Those who have had the Beta firmware packages installed should remove and then re-install the update package. The correct build-ID for the release version is 1757805000.

After installation you may remove the update package - this will NOT remove the firmware!

I never knew that there was an official 1.03.13! I have 1.03.12 with the beta 1.03.12 CF 3.14 package installed.

Would it be best if I updated to official FW 1.03.13 first then install the latest 1.03.13/CF 3.14?

There was, but it was only for the updated iPlayer certs., which I retrofitted in to 1.03.12, but is all moot now.

The above was another typo., now corrected to 1.03.12 - I'll blame my finger trouble (yes, really - you don't want to see a picture).

At a guess you are using Audio Description, which is pretty broken for any Humax version after 1.02.20 as I understand it.

Yes, for SD programmes.
For HD programmes with AD I tend to use a Vestel recorder.

To install, make sure the tmenu package is updated to version 1.27 then go to the Admin/Telnet menu using telnet/ssh or using Webshell (i.e. Command Line on the Diagnostics page).
Select the "reprog" option, then D, and paste in the link found above. The rest should be obvious after that.

I updated both my HDR Fox T2s by USB stick to 3.14, all went fine. Then I used the telnet menu on both to run fix-flash-packages diagnostic and rebooted both boxes, all fine again. Then I used the telnet menu "upgrade" option to upgrade the remaining packages on both boxes and got the same set of errors on both.

I am concerned by the number of errors, and I have no idea what to do about anacron since I didn't even know I was using that package. I realise it's likely a dependency but I'm not using it directly so I have no idea how it is configured. pkill not found? pgrep not found?Do these matter? /mod/bin/pgrep: can't load library 'libproc-3.2.8.so' - why not?

This looks like a total mess. What do I need to fix please? I know the channel icons stuff is irrelevant.
