Codes for Programming Remote Handset

Black Hole

May contain traces of nut
My manual only has the three-digit codes in it, I need the four-digit codes if anyone can oblige (particularly those for a JVC TV).

The second, possibly (I'll try them out). I found the first myself, but that forum won't let you download without signing up.

Here is the list of 4 Digit codes for the RM-F04.
Thanks, they are the same as peterworks referenced.

Is your new JVC TV one of the "Fire TV Edition" models?
Absolutely not. It's the bargain basement LT-40C590, with no frills whatsoever, originally £220 but bought with a discount code for £200... and now listed at £179.99 (dammit). For a cheap TV it's very good.

I have recently purchased the bargain basement LT-40CF890 Fire TV Edition Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR, now reduced to £249.00. Probably one of the cheapest 4K TVs available, and comes with a Bluetooth remote control.

I was gonna scold bh for missing out on a 4k by peanuts and now you've done it better than me.

I am not interested in a 4K TV, it would do nothing for me so that would have been £50 down the drain. Apart from the fact I don't (normally) spend a great deal of time just watching TV, where would my 4K content come from? You know my broadband speed...

Also, that particular model would not have fitted in the available space (I did check it out at the time). £249 is not as bargain basement as £179 (or even £200).

I'm far more interested in getting a 4K monitor for ZEN... but that also means upgrading the graphics card.

Geez... never heard of CAD, WP, nor DTP? Nor photo editing? Nor gaming (I'm not into that)? I hear programmers like monitor real estate for coding, so they can have lots of references open at once, and when I used to be a design engineer I needed loads of data books open at once so the equivalent now would be open windows.

There are plenty of reasons to need more pixels on a screen than vegging out in front of t'elly.

Nah! This one (ie. me) manages with a reasonable monitor connected to a computer with plenty of oomph and memory.
Is that with an IDE supporting source display, debug trace, etc etc etc?

Yes, I've been doing DTP, WP, vector graphics, photo editing, audio editing, a little video editing, and even a smidge of CAD and 3D design (note: no coding to speak of) using a just a dual-core notebook with 15½" 1366x768 screen and 4GB RAM for years... and now I fancy some luxury (hence ZEN) doing that stuff as opposed to glued to a UHD TV with no UHD content. Coronavirus at least means I now have time available for looking into all this rather than constantly fire-fighting.

All that aside, I am enjoying my 40" HD screen, even with most of the content being StDef. It's a bugger I can't turn it on and off with the Humax handset though (and if it had BlueTooth remote, I wouldn't even be able to use a Harmony)!

I've done that. It isn't pretty! But then I was brought up on debugging etc using command line tools. So I can cope. Merely pointing out that not all programmers want or need big (or dual) monitors.

Agree wholeheartedly, I can find little to watch or record ( have 89% free on HDR FoxT2). The radio? Mindless pap ( are all stations cloned?). Am finding time now to polish up old 35mm slides to pc., learning basic Portuguese, and brushing up on Ubuntu keyboard shortcuts. Not neglecting exercise, walking (or my wife) etc.

Hell's teeth though, imagine the rest of the year social distancing? I'm beginning to think it's no bad thing, sad eh? :(

I find I'm watching less telly not more. Time to clear the disks of all those things I'll never watch. :D Some Radio 4 Extra stuff is OK but has been on before. As for other radio stations - they probably are cloned. Just set the [same] playlist and it will play automatically.
I could use the time more productively and see if I can make sense of the FVP-5000T hjm files - but the last time I tried that I got nowhere.
Walking: I'm having a problem finding a time to do that when I don't trip over every man, woman, child and dog.
