Constant "loss of signal" solved by reboot

Something funny is going on. Whilst watching a program it will suddenly go blank and then produce the message "The receiver is not receiving a signal; or the signal is too weak". Turning off and then on the box gets everything going again. This doesn't seem to be related to the actual aerial/signal as I guess it wouldnt then work on reboot and anyway the signal strength meter is always full or near full for a channel. This is much worse this evening - happening every 5 minutes or so. I tried removing the USB storgae in case that was causing a problem but no - it still happens. Does anyone have any suggestion or is it time to reutn the box :(
