I think you are committing the common sin of just glazing over instead of tackling post 2 one step at a time:

As to the rest, it would be better asked in a sweeper thread and would be inappropriate to discuss here

I understand the reasoning, but those who may know [ sweeper ], may not use any file sharing, SMB or NFS
