I seem to remember a date in 2015 seen in one of the fixdisk runs.

I am deeply suspicious of these drives being sold on Amazom marketplace as "new"; they haven't been available new from any reputable source for more than a year. I suspect they are second hand drives and have merely had the SMART data wiped. My advice would be to return it as unsuitable and buy a Seagate Skyhawk direct from Amazon rather than a Marketplace vendor.zephyr UK
