Could the HD/HDR-Fox T2 run a SqueezeBox player?

As above really. I'm curious to know whether or not a headless Squeezebox player could run as part of the custom firmware to play music from a Logitech Media Server.

I'm thinking along the lines of something like Squeezelite.

Unfortunately, although my original advice is correct (to make something run on the Humax it needs to be in compilable form), there are other barriers. In particular, we have no access to the output devices to be able to generate a sound stream and send it to the sound output (SCART, Phono, optical, or HDMI). In general, there is very limited processing power and RAM.

Realistically, your only options here are if the Logitech server will stream a compatible file by DLNA, or mount on the network as a virtual USB drive.

Thanks. That all makes sense.

I'll look into your suggestions but buying a few more Raspberry Pis to act as players may be the easiest solution.
