Because he is a newbie BH and possibly not accustomed to the discipline here. He's probably used to the mayhem that calls itself AVF in which it seems to matter not a toss which thread, section or forum you post in let alone what to call them.

Actually, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the forum section appropriate to his box.

That's a cop out. Even a newbie can look down a list of sections and pick the one most relevant. The one he actually chose would seem to be one of the least relevant. Surely he can tell? It's not exactly difficult is it?
A moderator apparently couldn't be bothered to shift it either, which begs the question "what's the point of these moderators?".

More or less on topic: I've just realised that my HDRs have not frozen for quite a while now (tempting fate...). I (stupidly) had a look in the crash log to check - and of course the crash log doesn't record reboots due to system freezes (I doubt anything can be done about that).

activity.log should show a boot reason of 4 for a power cycle. Might be enough for what you need here.
