I think you can forget that. None of us here really know what causes these random crashes and other weird behaviour, and Humax certainly aren't interested in anything.

No. But it doesn't sound like a great starting point.

OK - I switched on the Real-Time Scheduling and I'll see if the problem decreases - thanks for your advice all
