Dead Drive: Replacement Suggestions?

Hi all,

My original drive dies last night and now I'm looking for a replacement. Ideally I'm going to go for 2TB, and wondered if anyone has any suggestions as to what to buy?

I've been looking at the WD AV-GP Enterprise 2 and would be interested to hear if anyone has any experience of using it.

I have the 1TB EURX version in one of my HDR's and it has been used daily in excess of 12 months without a murmur. I regularly run the fix-disk diagnostic to be on the safe side. No issues thus far.

They aren't really "discussed" there...I was hoping for people's experiences of using 2TB drives (such as that from Wallace...cheers btw).

Hopefully this thread will stay open for others to reply?

I have been using a 2TB Seagate ST2000VM003 for a bit over a year now with no problems and have been very happy with it. At the moment it has 5168 power on hours and zero reallocated sectors.
