Did anyone else's machine fail to record homeland last sunday? reply if yours did record

aaaggh damn. thank you for your answers. it turns out that i was indeed recording the 4+1 hd same as mymsman but my crid is wrong. damn and blast

mymsman, when did you set your series recording and have you changed anything since?

is this the curse of the rs not updating again?
I have not recorded any version of homeland, i believe it was at @/df who recorded c4+1

None of this has anything to do with rs, rs only gets involved if you, optionally, use it set up the initial series recording but has no involvement whatsoever with the scheduling of subsequent episodes

Like what? Only series linking, but the RS text search would achieve the same without relying on the CRIDs being correct.

...
Set using the on-screen EPG, I think, or possibly WebIf>Schedule>EPG, before the first episode of the series and not changed since.

Possibly unrelated, but I suffered (indirectly) failed 4+1 HD recordings a few weeks back. I hadn't realised that this channel is on Mux 55 which at the time was marginal and dropping out a lot.

do you happen to have the EXACT time your recording started last sunday?

22:??:??

22:??:??
Start: Sun Apr 12 22:00:27 2020 BST (Scheduled: Sun Apr 12 22:00:00 2020 BST)
End: Sun Apr 12 22:58:55 2020 BST (Scheduled: Sun Apr 12 23:00:00 2020 BST)

One apparent difference is that your series recording was booked through RS and mine wasn't.
what i don't understand is this:

how did my machine record the two sundays ago episode with the wrong CRID?
...
mihaid C4ED0020021616215774 <-- C4HD
/df C41F0020021616215774 <-- C4+1HD

That's the other.

So I would suspect that RS (or some gremlin) created or updated the s-CRID in the reservation incorrectly. I don't have the package in use on my machines so can't easily debug further. The EPG data definitely shows that s-CRID as the C4HD showing. They need different CRIDs because of the channel ident, I guess.

selfexplanatory
Certainly not since you failed to mention which of the four showings on Sunday you were attempting to record and which transmitter since their can be regional variations

Presumably the recording was first scheduled a couple of months ago when the series first started and has been recording OK until last week end. RS would have not been involved since the original recording was scheduled (unless you set up an Auto scheduling rule)

Broadcasters do sometimes change series crids for no obvious reasons and this can cause existing series recordings to fail,

The current crid for C4+1 HD is https://rs.hpkg.tv/epg_search.html?scrid=/C41F0020021616215774 so possibly originally they were (incorrectly) using the same series crid for C4 HD and C4+1 HD and sometime last week they noticed/were told about the error and change it on C4+1 HD before last Sundays broadcast but causing the failure of @mihaid 's recordings
