Differentiating between boxes

What name? I thought you decided on no name? This is terminology, not names.

If the identity patch is made to the standard firmware, it can't really be customised customised, can it? But I'm not sure whether I've got that right and maybe the patch is made to the CF.

Just to bring things up-to-date, a reinstall of the customised firmware and then the customised customised firmware has brought the recalcitrant box out of its sulk.

Glad to hear it. I couldn't think of any reason that patching the name would cause it to drop off the network.
I need to put mine back to the stock CF now.

@BH - the patch could be made to either, but the instructions are to apply it to the CF, resulting in patched customised firmware. CCF works too : )
