Ah, I knew there was something I was missing. That depends whether you mind your HDR-FOX waking up every night. Without the package, it will wake up and do an OTA search regardless of there not being one to find.

DetectAds in chase mode will fully wakeup the humax (to allow decryption ) so the chaseget package has a mute sound option to reduce the risk of blaring sounds during the night ☺IIRC, when set to record from standby, it doesn't wake up fully. No video o/p or CEC = no woken up TV.
Just half-awake though, IIRC.That depends whether you mind your HDR-FOX waking up every night. Without the package, it will wake up and do an OTA search regardless of there not being one to find.

The FOXs do send something, but not CEC, when they wake up to record. There was quite a bit of discussion a few years ago around people with auto switching HDMI selectors who lost their feed for a few seconds when another box woke up. Presumably, while in standby, some TVs may take such a poke as the equivalent of a CEC request.I do get a banner (on my LG B7) telling me that one of the Humax devices is available even though they are only set to record but no switching on etc or changing input. I do find it irritating but cannot prevent it.
