It should take 145 mins. according to the stats. you posted.

Looks like it. WD Green is not really suitable for long-term use in a PVR anyway. This is why people buy Seagate Video drives, as originally supplied.

Ok, but the output of smartctl -l selftest /dev/sda that I posted was less than 60 minutes after I started smartctl -t long /dev/sda. I have not got home yet to see the final outcome.
