DTR-1000 Backup Recordings

It looks like my box is going to fail soon. It is covered for a replacement. I wanted to backup the recordings.

I an pretty sure that it is not possible but I thought I would ask. As far as I know as the files are encrypted.

Take a look here. The recording partition is in XFS format and can be accessed from a PC running a Linux OS (e.g. Ubuntu). The standard definition recordings are not encrypted. You will need to access the disk though, which involes opening the box. It is easy to do, but opening the box will invalidate the warranty.
