Editing Channel Names

Is it possible to edit or rename channels on the HD/HDR-FOX T2?

LCN 303 is currently named "BBC RB 303 HD", I would like to change it to "BBC RB HD"

Could this be done relatively easily?

Channel names are automatically updated by the DVB stream, so No!

It is a simple thing to do on a Topfield PVR using the remote control, so I had hoped that something similar would have been possible on the Humax.

prpr is correct. The service can be allocated to a different LCN (references use a unique service ID rather than the LCN, which is purely for human convenience), but (as we discovered with service name changes recently) the service name gets updated live (viewing the service listing in the EPG is sufficient).

Oh well never mind, I guess that I will have to put up with it then, at least I can stop it from scrolling.

To be fair though, I understand the Custom Firmware developers of the Toppy have access to 'all areas' of the code, unlike the Humax Custom Firmware Developers

In this case, it is a standard out of the box Topfield feature.
