ee tv

this looks like the next step forward? or has someone else already released such a gadget

you can record four things, watch different recordings on different tvs/tablets/phones and flcik things onto your tv from the tablet, sounds amazing, shame i'm just at the start of my bt contract or i'd be stepping down this route i think.

i now see that this has been out a few months already, only saw it advertised in the metro today for the first time. tried searching on here but ee tv was rejected as being too short. i imagine its already been discussed to death here? has anyone got one??

no one on here interested then, i thought this would be being talked about as the next big thing? also not much appears to be said about apple tv, which, for me, is one of the cleverest gadgets i own

Well, this ain't really a forum for IPTV enthusiasts. If it were to be discussed, it would be in the 'Arms.

It's not just IPTV. It has 4 tuners.

The techy stuff
• 4 HD (high definition) tuners – DVB (digital video broadcasting) – T2
• 1 terabyte hard drive
• Dual-band WiFi (2.4/5 gigahertz)
• 1 gigabit per second ethernet
• Latest Broadcom processor (3000 DMIPS)
• Full home broadband TV support

That said it requires you to shift your line-rental, mobile and broadband to EE and as such is a non-starter for me. I note there's no mention of ITV player or 4OD in the catch-up sections too.

Here's a review:

4 Tuners is not enough of an incentive to persuade users to pay a monthly contract for something that is basically a Freeview box. Especially as the new Humax Freeview Play box will have 3 tuners and no contract - Link HERE
