Error encountered whilst processing the folder command - unrecognized token: "X'8"

It might help if you add a bit more context (er, actually, any context at all).

No, since I assume many people change folder names there was a good chance someone could recognise it. As soon as I realised my mistake I corrected it. So your post is totally unnecessary.

My post was supporting the complaint about lack of context. The forum topics should be self-documenting so that others searching for solutions can find help, and even now there is no description of what you did wrong or how you fixed it.

There's nothing else. I instructed rs to change folder name, rs didn't do it and logged that error. That's it.

Was the error message repeatable on trying to rename the folder again?
Did the original name have any other characters apart from alphanumerics and spaces? And if so then what was the folder name?
Does the name you were changing it to have any other characters apart from alphanumerics and spaces? And if so then what is the attempted new name?
Where any of the recordings in the folder being played or streamed or otherwise accessed at the time?
Have you now renamed the folder? And if not have you used some sort of workaround to achieve what you were aiming for? And if so then what was it?
What happens when you try to rename other similar named folders on the rs website?

What mistake? How did you correct it?

Are you this forthcoming when you want something fixed on your car? At least with your car, you can give it to somebody else to look at and hope the problem occurs while they are looking - here you are communicating by text only, and we cannot see what you are not telling us!

Have you now renamed the folder?

most were successful some not, have not named similar folders

Ok, now I am at the computer. if you tried typing on your phone you'll know why I was concise. Although I thought I gave enough info. I don't know the meaning of the second line since I did not choose new. my chosen name is in the third line. I do have newk installed.

Yes, and since prpr had already asked and I already answered your post was redundant.

And why limit yourself to one post when you can post three on the trot.
WTF is the point of the new and exciting multi quote that just makes quoting a single post a lot more difficult?

How more difficult?
Three clicks instead of one so three times more difficult. Plus you invariably have to tidy up previous quotes in the multipost memory that have been pasted into the reply box. It's a PITA.
How more difficult?
It's easy to get it to look like this. As I said. What's the point?>
And why no preview unless you jump through a couple more hoops?

whilst the t2 was trying to process the folder rename it managed to miss a recording at 9pm on 23rd. Did not even get a failed recording email or file created.
