External HDD Problem

This is not an oddity, it's normal. Type 07 has always stood for IFS (Installable File System). NTFS just happens to be a particular case of that, as does exFAT.
Some software authors haven't a clue however and took 07 to mean NTFS exclusively, ignoring other uses of it.
