Faulty DTR-T4000

My brand new DTR4000 serial 1623002736 1Tb.
has a fault..It took over a day to get it past broken up picture ,frozen start
up and a week to get it to boot up from remote control or top button.
it seems to work from the on and off rear switch at time on the second
attempt but only after the power suppluy caps are sufficiently charged.
A slight tap on the box in wake up mode will always break up the picture/freeze
start up.Good news is that it improves after a week.
Great NEWS IS THE PICTURE QUALITY ON MOST CHANNELS.
Worth the effort.

Power supply caps charge within a very very short period of a box being booted, If they did not they would be enormous. Basically the issue cannot be down to your theory. Most likely due to the cpu requiring some time to complete the boot sequence and service the Infra Red remote control interrupt remote control cpu service.

It shouldn't do that. It seems that there is an intermittent connection within the box that is possibly causing all your problems. And when GLT says the PSU caps charge quickly, he means quickly. It seems instantaneous to the human eye, but is no more that a few hundred milliseconds at most after switch on.

Oh. PS. What's posts # 45, 46 and 47 about then. Not a serial number in sight.
