Windos 10 by default disables SMB/CIFSv1.0, which is what the Humax is using. You can enable it in Windows 10: visit docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/file-server/troubleshoot/detect-enable-and-disable-smbv1-v2-v3

Oops, I did read through both pages and sorry I missed #7 with the same info. It seemed like that was the problem.

Regarding NFS support in Windows, this goes back to at least Windows Vista, but only in the ‘Pro’ rather than ‘Home’ versions (or in the case of Vista I think it was called the ‘Ultimate’ version). ‘Server’ versions of Windows have also had it for many years.
