Fix-Disk is hanging

I have tried several times to run Fix-Disk to check for problems on the internal drive of my HDR-FOX T2, but each time Fix-Disk stops running at the same point. (I know that Fix-Disk can take several hours to run, but in 10 hours the operation does not progress any further.) The report is as follows:
Code:
Menu version 1.12
Enter system PIN: ****

    2 - Run short hard-disk self test.
    3 - Run long hard-disk self test.
    4 - Check self-test progress.
epg - Clear persistent EPG data.
dlna - Reset DLNA server database.
x - Leave maintenance mode (Humax will restart).
 diag - Run a diagnostic.
cli - System command line (advanced users).

I would appreciate any pointers on how to proceed from here.

First I would update your custom firmware version to 3.10 and try again. I believe that a number of updates have been made to fixdisk since CFW version 3.00. Also, with the latest version, you can reconnect to the fixdisk session at any time so you don't need to leave a PC running.

I've now loaded the latest firmware, but this has not resolved the problem:
Code:
Menu version 1.20
Enter system PIN: ****

How long did you leave that last one?
It would be worth you trying the CFW 3.11 beta which has even newer disk check utilities in it. If you are interested I will send you a download link as it hasn't been released yet.

I've run it again, for 10 hours, with the same result.

I feel a little reluctant to go for a beta version - I only have the one system (which I used for all my TV watching, and I don't want to risk running into serious issues with it.

Are there any options for Fix-Disk that might be useful in my case.

You won't. And even if you did, you can just put 3.10 straight back on.

No.

Your only other option is to backup everything on to external storage (probably time consuming) and re-format the partition (very quick).
