Default Authority & Channel Icons v1.75 Updated

Update your package list in the usual way for the package(s) listed in the "Package Management", "Upgrades" tab.

Remember to reboot the Foxsat-HDR after updating your package list to pick up the updated Default Authority data.

Confusion reigns here David500!
I'm old & totally lost as to what I should be doing.
I've read & re-read all the relevant postings but I just do not know what I should do apart from not bricking my boxes.

I have already installed the custom firmware some ten years ago 4.1.3, but as been said in this forum can no longer update or add the packages so without being a pain is there a-z or 1-10 list on what to do and the links that contain the most updated versions to get it to work as it did back in day.
Thank you for any comments and any directions to proceed safely.

Probably best to split this out into its own thread (originally posted in the news feed thread for FOXSAT-HDR package updates).

Why do you think you can no longer add/update packages? Describe how you are doing so and what happens when you try.
(And quote a reference to whatever you've read on the forum.)

Thank you so much for your reply,
I've tracked down the principle problem to my legacy forked Firefox browser, so as of today I'm now able to download the packages successfully.
If I could also ask:
As far as the system settings > the hostname > does 'each' Humax box require a specific name for example humax1,humax2 ?
In the event of an issue/lockout and not having telnet installed, would which would be the best option vsftpd 2.12 or dropbear 2016.74 to gain access?
Finally if the hard drive was fully formatted at anytime does one then need to re-install [all] from scratch again?

Thank you one again for your help.

I don't think it's a requirement, but it probably makes sense.

Just install telnet. I don't know what happens if things go wrong. I guess you just reinstall the Webif and then install telnet, or put the telnet package on a USB stick and plug it in and it ought to install it. I don't have access to a Foxsat any more.

Yes, apart from the firmware in flash which will still be there, you'll need to reinstall Webif and anything else you want.
