Foxsat HDR on 12 volt?

I take the box away in a caravan to watch pre-recorded progs.
Up to now we have always had a mains supply but I am exploring the possibilities of managing several days without 240v power.

I guess I could use an invertor for the STB but I wonder if one could modify the box to by pass the PSU and feed it 12 volts in this situation.
Question what power supplies does the PSU inside the HRD generate?
 
You will need at least 12V and 5V (maybe 3.3V). Trying to feed in 12V and hoping the other voltages will be regulated down from it is unlikely to work as they will all be derived from the mains input by a switch-mode PSU.

Get an inverter.
